High Street Small Business Grants B-Global

Get Funded…

Using funds from Nottingham City Council’s UK Shared Prosperity Funding NCC has established a small grants scheme to support and sustain existing businesses on the High Street, particularly retail businesses and those in the hospitality and leisure sectors.

The High Street Small Business Grants scheme will provide funding to eligible small businesses to deliver a range of interventions to support High Streets in Nottingham city centre and local neighbourhoods. Interventions include marketing and events, equipment purchases including digital and ICT, support for shop premises including energy efficiency measures, shop front improvements and greening in line with our City Centre Strategy and Action Plan.

Available funding
The High Street Small Business Grants Scheme has a total grant pot of £249,000 to be distributed between November 2022 and March 2023, subject to funding. A further, expanded programme of small grants for businesses will be available from April 2023.

Eligibility
The High Street Small Business Grants Scheme is open to small, independent High Street businesses located in designated areas of Nottingham. They must have fewer than 50 employees and a turnover less than £10m. The applicant guidance contains full details of the eligibility requirements. A separate document details the eligible areas where an applicant must be located.

Details of the grant and application documents can be found on the grant fund’s webpage at www.nottinghamcity.gov.uk/information-for-business/business-information-and-support/procurement/uk-shared-prosperity-fund-ukspf/ukspf-high-street-small-business-grant

Application deadline

This is a rolling grant programme and therefore does not have a deadline for applications.  Grant applications will be considered on a ‘first come, first served’ basis until the grant pot has been fully allocated.
